The Associate Teacher Pre-Kindergarten is a member of the School’s Lower Division and reports to the
Lower Division head. This full-time, 10-month position comes with the responsibility of working with
faculty and staff to support the school’s mission and curricular goals.
Responsibilities
● Support the Head Teacher to facilitate lessons in all subject areas
● Collaborate with the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to keep multiculturalism and
diversity as a priority of curricular work and curriculum development
● Demonstrate a passion for lifelong learning; pursue professional development in all areas of Early
Childhood education
● Guide students in their social-emotional development, maintaining expectations and support for
positive and productive student behavior
● Respectfully engage with families and demonstrate sensitivity to cultures, values, family
configurations, and beliefs.
● Assist with documenting student learning with photos and videos
● Participate in weekly Grade Level team meetings
● Meet expectations as defined by the Park School Employee Essential Expectation
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree required
● Experience teaching, preferably Pre-K level
● Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in teaching and learning
& experience in working in a culturally diverse community.
● Strong interpersonal skills with students, colleagues and other adults, organizational, and
communication skills
● Demonstrated technology skills, familiarity with Seesaw and other educational technology tools
preferred
● Creative problem-solving skills, a positive attitude that allows one to cooperate and collaborate
effectively with others
● Ability to think independently and collaborate in a team environment.
● Maintain focus and adaptability in an energetic and, at times, loud environment.
● Effectively interpret, navigate, mediate, and resolve conflict with students and families in a timely
manner.
● Proficient or the ability to learn Google tools and other applications as adopted by the School,
such as Veracross, SchoolPass, Atlas etc.
Physical Requirements:
● The ability to sit and stand uninterrupted for 30 minute periods of time.
● The ability to regularly walk on and travel across variable surfaces (e.g. level flooring, stairs, turf,
gravel, asphalt, etc.).
● The ability to lead, supervise and accompany students to all areas of the school campus (including
all indoor and outdoor areas), including during day-to-day responsibilities and in case of
emergency.
● The ability to regularly stand, sit, crouch, and kneel down in order to support students.
● The ability to work outdoors, year-round, in variable weather conditions.
● The ability to lift and hold 15 lbs overhead.
● The ability to occasionally transport (e.g., move or drag) 25 lbs.
● The ability to maintain focus and composure in an energetic and, at times, loud environment.

● The compensation range for this role is $57,960.00 annually. Actual salaries will vary depending
